
The Mason Jar is celebrating two years in business this April. The restaurant will offer drink specials and menu specials, Thursday through Saturday, April 15 through 17. Guests are invited to enjoy the full menu, including entrees, appetizers and desserts, as well as drinks from the full-service bar.
“We couldn’t have made it without our loyal customers, amazing staff, fantastic vendors and the support of the community,” said Jo Ellen Estes, Director of Operations of The Mason Jar. “Our locally owned restaurant employs nearly 30 employees and help supports dozens of local vendors, everyone from local produce suppliers to beer, wine and liquor vendors.”

The Mason Jar is offering live music on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Nicholas Kazonis. Kazonis has shared the stage with a wide range of tremendous talent throughout his music career. He has opened for rock icons Boston as well as two-time Grammy nominee John Primer. He has performed with Grammy award-winning Marty Sammon of the Buddy Guy Band and Otis Rush. He has performed with Kofi Baker, legendary member of Cream. He has performed with Tim Bales of Ides of March. He has graced the stage at Chicago’s House of Blues, the Blues BBQ Festival in Griffith and festivals across the Midwest and nationally.

Chad Burton will perform 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. Singer and songwriter, Chad Burton, will perform a compilation of original music that covers a wide variety of genres such as electronic, acid jazz, hip hop and variations of rock. He has performed at The Blue Chip Casino and venues throughout Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area.
Live music will be offered on the patio, weather permitting. If the weather isn’t cooperative, the musicians will perform in the dining room.
The Mason Jar, located at 241 N. Liberty in Lowell, is open Tuesday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. They are open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizers, desserts and drinks. The bar offers bottled beer, draft beer, wine and mixed drinks.
